~ Pinkalicious ~

My granddaughter Penelope recently turned three.  This was the first year she really had an opinion as to how her birthday party should play out and what the theme should be.  When asked that very question, her answer was ...

~ PINK ~

Penelope wanted a Pink Party.
Her mom was more than happy to oblige.

You might say she was tickled ... Pink.

So ... there were pink cake pops and pink pretzels.

Pink candies and pink water.

There were pink pinwheels and a pink bounce house.

Penelope was appropriately dressed in ... well, you get the picture.

Unfortunately, I did not get the picture.  Once the party started, I was too busy having fun to take a picture of my Pink Penelope at her Precious Pink Party.

Just imagine a plethora of pink topped off by a head of curls.

Perfection.

~ One Year Thanks and ... Discounts ~

So ... my one year anniversary of the launch of this ...  my Sea Quilts blog ... falls this weekend.
One year ago, I put up the (above) picture of my "Thar She Blues" quilt and asked you to be my friend.

You agreed and we pretty much lived happily ever after.

The happiest part of this adventure was becoming your friend and (thank you linky parties) seeing hundreds of your blogs and ideas and photos and ... fun. I can claim friends all over the world that I did not know one year ago.
Isn't this an amazing world we live in that makes that possible??!

I spent most of this year sewing my brains out and 3 months ago launched my Etsy Shop where I am selling the patterns to the quilts and pillows that have consumed my time ... and brains.

In thanks, I would like offer a discount to those blog friends who stop by to check it out this coming week. (If you saw this here today ... you are my friend!)

Just enter the Discount Code:

blog1birthday

and you will receive 20% off any of the patterns ... and even the completed pillows.

Thanks for your support and friendship.
(Now ... shouldn't a birthday involve cake?)

~ Anchored in Years ~

My latest project is here. You can find the pattern here.

I've called it Anchored in Happy.
It makes me happy.
And you?

I have been wanting to sew anchors for some time now, but they just had to wait their turn on "the list".

Red, Blue, Stripes, Dots ... what's not to be happy about?

In other anchor news ... yesterday was my birthday.  I don't think any of my children were privy to the fact that I spent part of the last week sewing an anchor ... and yet ...
D#2 gave me these precious anchor note cards to add to my collection and ...

D#3 gave me this fabulous necklace featuring ... guess what?
I felt the love (and way too many gifts) from each child + some other generous relatives and friends.

Please don't try to guess how old I am.

However ... this may or may not be a hint.
