~ Sea Pillows ~

This morning I added two new items to my Etsy Shop ... and these ones are the real, finished deal! They come fully constructed with no work on your part ... except perhaps for a little fluffing.

They are both 21" square pillow slipcovers, stuffed with commercially made down pillow forms.  They are edged in thin, covered piping.

So take your pick ...

Here's the crazy part:  I made these both last fall and literally forgot about them.  That just shows what the holidays will to do your mind and/or level of sanity.

~ Machine Quilting: A Bug's Eye View ~

Once upon a time ... I used to dread the machine quilting process.  It hurt my back.

Still does.

But with the passing of time and hours and hours of practice, I have actually come to look forward to this part of the process. I recognize it as part of the design and not just a necessary evil.

I have come to terms with the fact that my back hurts a lot anyway ... so I might as well enjoy it.

I'm also very excited about my Sea Horse Surfboard. So many favorites all in one quilt!

How about you? How do you feel about the machine quilting process? Endurance or Enjoyment?

Or "Eh"?

~ The Color Wheel is Alive & Well ~

My current project is just a joy to work on.  You see I have chosen turquoise, orange and hot pink as my palette and there is a reason those colors make me happy.

Remember back in Art Class in Junior High and how we were all taught that complementary colors provide the ultimate in contrast?

Well ... that's a good thing!

Even my cutting mat wants to get in on the act.

You can correctly assume that DOTS will be involved.

And Joy.

These colors bring me JOY.

How about you? What's your favorite color combo?
